Thermal Cautery

Thermal Cautery Unit (TCU) utilizes an electrically heated tip to coagulate lesions such as warts, syringoma and sebaceous hyperplasia. With thermal cautery, however, no electrical current flows through the patient unlike in electrocautery which uses electricity to burn or coagulate lesions. This is good even for patients with pacemakers, and metal implants. This is our next best choice after CO2 or Carbon Dioxide Laser.
